Powering the Future of Automation With High-Performance Servo and Stepper Drives
Digital servo drives are crucial components in modern industrial automation, providing precise control over motor functions such as torque, speed and position. As automation technologies become more widespread and advanced, the need for high-performance digital servo drives continues to grow. These drives are essential for managing motor parameters with exceptional accuracy, utilizing digital signal processors (DSP) for high-speed signal processing.
Advanced Technology
Our digital servo drives are designed with these requirements in mind, offering features such as high-speed processing for faster response times and advanced motion algorithms for executing complex motion profiles. Robust feedback mechanisms allow for real-time correction of deviations, ensuring operations remain on target.
Our drives are characterized by several key features that make them well-suited for industrial automation.
High Power Density. Our drives feature high power density, which supports compact packaging and installation flexibility. This is particularly beneficial in applications where space is limited, such as in autonomous vehicles and robotic arms.
Comprehensive Feedback Options. A complete set of feedback options is provided, including support for digital incremental encoder and Halls (standard on servo drives with position mode capability), and optional features like Sin/Cos encoders and Resolvers. Copley Plus drives are available with a growing range of open standard absolute encoder interfaces including BISS, SSI, Absolute A and EnDat. Dual feedback is also supported on some models.
Ruggedized Versions. Select servo drives are available in ruggedized versions, which are built to withstand extremes of temperature and vibration with conformal coating for humidity tolerance, delivering reliable performance in the harshest environments.
Noise Immunity. Metal enclosures ensure the highest level of noise immunity, which is essential in maintaining the integrity of signals in industrial environments.
Multi-axis Versions. These versions deliver the lowest cost per node, making them cost-effective for large-scale industrial automation systems.
Functional Safety. The STO (Safe Torque Off) capability of PLUS module drives eliminates the expensive contactors and complex wiring traditionally used in safety-critical applications. STO provides two drive enable inputs, facilitating system conformance to SIL 3 (IEC 61800-5-2) and Category 3 PL d (ISO 13849-1).
Our drives also offer flexible packaging options and are available in both AC and DC powered versions, covering a power range of 100 W to 6 kW. Their configuration software, CME, is intuitive and includes powerful diagnostic tools and a built-in Indexer.
